It really reminds me of Star Wars Battlefront 2's Galactic Conquest which was my favorite feature of that game. Along with that they also upgraded the AI, put a fair amount of effort into their servers to improve performance, gave it more multi-threading and so on. Maybe some dynamic enemies where they will attack you conquered systems or something. A fair amount of Planetary Annihilation: TITANS was getting old, so their first point of action was to upgrade the underlying tech to be more modern. Depth will have players really falling in love I agree, if there is anything this game needs is some fresh new content for Galactic War. and it is unknown if she survived the planet's annihilation. My honest opinion is that the game is very surface level in development and has a huge amount of potential if the dev team can add Depth to the Galactic war.
